The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, was started in the year 1998 with a vision to excel in academics and research through innovative teaching and impactful research. The Department offers a 4 year B.E (Computer Science and Engineering) Programme and a 2 year M.E. (Computer Science and Engineering) Programme. The B.E. Computer Science and Engineering Programme has been reaccredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi for 3 Years. The Department has been recognized as a Centre for carrying out Ph.D. Programme under Anna University, Chennai. The curriculum incorporates recent advancements in computing, ensuring students are up-to-date and ready to tackle modern challenges effectively. Students are provided with cutting-edge computing facilities by the Department, ensuring access to state-of-the-art technology for their academic needs and advancement. The Department's academic excellence is evident through its stellar placement record and numerous students securing admissions in esteemed National and International Institutions for higher education.
